Medical Information
In order to care for our Campers properly, we need you to also fill out our Camper Information Form (now online!). WE MUST RECEIVE THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, so filling out the new online version of the form (rather than the old PDF version of the form) is highly recommended.
Campers are not to keep medication of any type in their cabins. All medications will be turned over to Camp Personnel at the time of camp arrival and will be dispensed by Camp Nurse (only epipens and inhalers are exempt from this). Please make sure you include a complete description of any medications that need to be administered to your camper(s) when filling out our Camper Information Form so our Camp Nurse will have all the necessary medical information.
If you feel you really must fill out the old PDF version of our Camper Information Form, you can download it here and then fill it out and mail it in to
All Saints of North America Orthodox Camp
1967 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC V5L 2N6
Please note that mailing your Camp Information Form(s) is really NOT RECOMMENDED right now, given the upcoming Canada Post mail strike!
Costs
We do our best to keep costs as low as possible. Our camp is a non-profit society and our staff are all unpaid volunteers. We understand that even these low costs can be a burden to low-income families and/or families with multiple camp-aged children. While the camp does not have the financial resources to subsidize campers, many churches have been willing, in the past, to help parents send their kids to camp. If you are in need of financial assistance, we highly recommend asking your parish to see if they have – or are willing to set up – a program that would pay for (or help you pay for) your kids to go to camp.
Camper Agreement
All campers are expected to actively participate in the camp program and abide by the rules set out by the Camp Directors at the beginning of camp. Campers are advised that the following are not permitted:
- Being under the influence of, or in possession of any restricted substances: illegal drugs, cigarettes and/or alcohol.
- Leaving the site boundaries without the permission of one of the Camp Directors.
- Mixed-gender visiting in the cabins of other Campers.
- Personal displays of affection of a romantic nature.
- An inappropriate or disrespectful attitude toward Staff.
- Inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour affecting other Campers, or that disrupts the effectiveness of Camp.
In the event that the Camper fails to comply with the expectations in this agreement, one or more of the following actions will take place:
- Camper will lose camp privileges.
- His/her parent/guardian will be contacted.
- He/she will returned home at his/her expense.
The Camp Priest will be advised of the above action(s) taken and the reason for taking these actions.
This agreement is in full force from the time the Camper arrives at camp (or is picked-up at the ferry terminal) and will remain in effect until the completion of camp when the Camper is returned the care of his/her parent(s) or guardian(s).
